The Domes collection at Misty Mountain Reserve includes the Ocean Dome, Star Gazing Cube, Pyramid, Cocoon and Forest Dome. Each offers a unique luxury stay surrounded by the natural beauty of Tsitsikamma.
The Ocean Dome offers sweeping ocean views, while the Star Gazing Cube features a bed that slides onto the deck for stargazing. The Pyramid has a distinctive elevated design with forest and night-sky views, the Cocoon is a cosy treetop hideaway, and the Forest Dome offers a private stay immersed in the Tsitsikamma forest.
Each unit in the Domes collection at Misty Mountain Reserve accommodates a maximum of 2 guests. The Domes are adults only and not suitable for children, making them ideal for couples and romantic Tsitsikamma getaways.
The Ocean Dome offers uninterrupted ocean views with a clear roof and sides for stargazing. The Star Gazing Cube and Pyramid offer forest views with clear panels for night-sky views, while the Cocoon has a clear roof for stargazing. The Forest Dome is surrounded by the Tsitsikamma forest with a large front window for an immersive forest view.
The Star Gazing Cube includes a semi-self-catering kitchenette. The Ocean Dome, Pyramid, Cocoon and Forest Dome each have a mini fridge in the room. All units include a private gas braai for outdoor cooking.
Breakfast is included with all Dome bookings at Misty Mountain Reserve. Lunch and dinner are available at an additional cost, and guests can also order braai or picnic baskets for an extra charge.
All Domes at Misty Mountain Reserve have Wi-Fi and backup generator power. The Ocean Dome, Star Gazing Cube, Pyramid and Forest Dome have air conditioning, while the Cocoon has a heater and fan. Electric blankets are also provided for added warmth.
Some Domes at Misty Mountain Reserve are accessed via steps or raised walkways. The Cocoon and Forest Dome have boardwalk access to their separate bathroom areas. Due to the elevated forest setting, guests with limited mobility should contact our Reservations Office on 041 582 1461 before booking so we can recommend the most suitable unit.
The Domes at Misty Mountain Reserve are designed for privacy and seclusion. Transparent sections have curtains for added privacy, while the private decks, bathrooms and outdoor bathing areas are positioned to offer guests a secluded experience surrounded by nature.
